Fall Fashion 2024 Trends: Predictions and Style Must-Haves

Thanks to Google Trends and Pinterest, we can predict incoming trends for Fall Fashion 2024. And because I’m always on the hunt for what the thrift next, I’ve compiled a list of styles I’ll be searching for this season.

L'Academie by Marianna Ashleigh Stretch Cotton Dress
Office inspired pieces are happening this season. These tailored pieces that walk a fine line along business casual dress codes. Much thanks to the TikTok fashion influencers who styled viral videos of absolutely unhinged office attire that will definitely get you sent home. These videos revived looks that take you from the office to after work cocktails. Cheers!
Low-Rise Medium Wash Baggy Jeans
Fellow Millennials, I hate to do this to you, but Hollister Jeans searches are currently trending. Good news is that we don’t have to beg our parents to buy them for us anymore. With adult money we can upgrade our closets with relaxed pieces or throwback skinny styles.
Alice + Olivia Kidman Jacket in School Girl Plaid
Seeing plaid? Get used to it. This classic print is back and you’ll primarily see this school girl look styled on skirts. Fortunately, there’s no shortage of pleated plaid skirts at the thrift store, if you keep your eyes pealed. Consider purchasing this piece thrifted.
Posey Slingback Kitten-Heel Pumps
Last year we saw silver Mary Jane styles emerge as a trending shoe. This season, we’re seeing her more grown up sisters, the kitten and stiletto heels. But, the very smart fashion girlies of NYC are mainly opting for a flat or kitten heel style that they can wear from the end of summer through fall with their pants or jeans.
UGG Tasman
Wearing what you want is in. We’ve seen a decline in trending pieces and a rise in aesthetics. Personally, I enjoy many aesthetics, so I’m always changing it up. Fashion should be fun. You don’t have to sacrifice personal style for fleeting trends.
It’s sweater season again, so that means dusting off your Ralph Lauren Teddy sweater. I’ll admit this is one of my dream items. I’ve throughly convinced myself that I can thrift this piece to avoid the $400 price tag.
Amanda Uprichard Kendall Romper
If you’re fortunate enough to live in a climate with an extended summer, old money inspired sets are still very in. Instead of opting for fabrics like cotton or linen to stay cool, try textured fabrics and tweed.
